The Health Community of West Africa Association Summit and Expo 2026 has taken another significant step toward strengthening healthcare cooperation between Africa and Asia, facilitating a series of strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Ghanaian and international health-sector organisations.
The MoU signings, held as part of the 2026 Expo, demonstrate the event’s growing role as a platform for healthcare investment, technology transfer, medical innovation, traditional medicine, wellness and cross-border partnerships.
The agreements bring together companies and institutions from Ghana, China and Togo, creating new opportunities for collaboration and the exchange of expertise, products, technologies and healthcare solutions.
Strategic Partnerships Signed
Among the agreements facilitated through the Expo was an exclusive cooperation agreement between Chengdu Yuehai Jinbo Technology and KAFUI, marking a new avenue for collaboration between the Chinese technology company and its African partner.
A second agreement was signed between Chengdu Yuehai Jinbo Technology and Katzviv Clinic, establishing a framework for exclusive cooperation and opening opportunities for the two organisations to work together in advancing healthcare-related services and solutions.
The Expo also facilitated an agreement between Hunan Jiwei Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and the ORGANIC BASE Centre for Ghana. The partnership is expected to strengthen cooperation in the biopharmaceutical and health sector while creating a bridge for Chinese expertise and solutions to access the Ghanaian and wider West African market.
Another important agreement was signed between Hunan Chengyuan Tang Traditional Chinese Medicine Wellness Co., Ltd. and the ORGANIC BASE Centre, focusing on exclusive cooperation in Ghana. The partnership highlights the growing interest in collaboration around traditional Chinese medicine, wellness and complementary approaches to healthcare.
The next agreement brought together Huaxin Guosen Medical Devices (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. and BIOMED-INNOVA-CONSULTING DU TOGO, establishing a framework for cooperation in the medical-device and healthcare space and further extending the Expo’s reach into the broader West African region.
For West Africa, such partnerships can contribute to increased access to innovative medical technologies, healthcare products, wellness solutions and professional expertise. For international partners, they provide an avenue to establish stronger local networks and explore opportunities within one of Africa’s rapidly developing healthcare markets.
