It is officially diagnosed after a woman has gone twelve consecutive months without a menstrual period. The years leading up to menopause are called perimenopause ,a transactional phase when hormones level especially estrogen and progesterone begin to fluctuate.This transition can bring a mix of emotions and physical changes. While some women sail through with minimal discomfort, others experience symptoms that significantly impact their daily lives.
The symptoms of menopause are varied and can be challenging. Hot flashes and night sweats are among the most common complaints, often disrupting sleep and daily activities. Mood swings and emotional shifts are also prevalent, making it essential for women to prioritize their mental health during this period. Changes in menstrual cycles, vaginal dryness, and decreased libido are other symptoms that women may experience.
