Virtue Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has donated medical equipment and consumables to the Upper West Regional Hospital and Sissala East Municipal Hospital in Ghana, valued at around GH¢403,000. The donations, including an ultrasound machine and anesthesia machine, were presented to hospital managers for their dedication to improving healthcare services.
“We are dedicated to continuing our support for the hospital and are confident that the donated equipment will be put to good use,” Battaglia said.
“We are committed to ensuring that all Ghanaians have access to high-quality healthcare, as we believe it to be a fundamental human right,” he continued.
Ghanaian MP Mohammed Issa Battaglia, who also serves as the Country Director for Virtue Foundation, has donated equipment to improve healthcare services in Sissala East. The donation, made on behalf of the NGO, aims to ensure healthcare is accessible to all Ghanaians. Battaglia praised hospital managers for their dedication to improving healthcare services during a ceremony to hand over the items.
“We are confident that the donated equipment will be put to good use, and we are committed to continuing our support for the hospital,” Battaglia stated
He added, “We believe that quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, and we are dedicated to making that a reality for all Ghanaians.”
The Country Director, a first-time Member of Parliament, expressed optimism that the equipment will benefit every Ghanaian, reflecting the foundation’s mission to ensure healthcare accessibility. Dr. Woodes, Medical Director of Tumu Municipal Hospital, received the ultrasound and medical consumables on behalf of the hospital, while Dr. Robert Amesiya, Medical Director of the Upper West Regional Hospital, expressed gratitude for the generous contribution.
He said that the hospital’s administration is encouraged by Virtue Foundation’s dedication to filling up the gaps.
“We promise them that these things will be used effectively, and we call on other kindhearted people and institutions to help us in our endeavor to offer our people high-quality healthcare.”
